been busy today with the 2.0 head

we have waisted the exhaust valve stems down and then tommorow we will start with the porting and polishing of the head then strip the bottom end down for new piston rings and some new shells , then rebuild it all !!!!

was supposed to be a quick engine swap HAHAHA

my friend was busy with the head over the weekend porting it

BUT then he showed me the Exhaust port





so we are now off to buy another cylinder head !!!! i have told him not to be silly this time , he has done loads and never had a problem !!!!

ooooooh was i pissed off !!!!!

I want some high lift cams too if you guys got any for sale

well FINALLY i got all my parts after getting the wrong rings and conrod bolts ,

so a small update on the build



new rings fitted

bottom end built up with ARP conrod bolts new bearings , oil pump and water pump

bracket and oil vent fitted



finished for tonight , tomorrow build the head up and then fit it to this , paint the gearbox silver then fit it all

should be a beast

been busy the last few days at work , and prepering for the world championships 1/12th RC racing , so not had a lot of time to do the engine but here is some more pictures and a small update

fitted the head and new cambelt , the tensioners were new before the 1.6 froze

exhaust fitted , inlet fitted , oil in , and alternator on







found a small problem with the Alternator but a small washer spacer soon fixed that , need to order new rollers and tensioner for the multi belt , then i will fit the gearbox and fit the engine next week , then re wire the ECU for the 2.0 item

great job! keep at it. and forget the 1:12th scale... there just a waste of time.... I KNOW they are (just saying they do swallow allot of time without realising it, but never a waste. I used to love the hobby (1:10th scale nitro RC). But time for it is few and far between!)
