In this topic I will be writing about all my mk3's that was on my life path.
Definitely, mk3 Escort is my favorite. I like every detail of it's design and the way it sounds and drives. Of course, in comparison to mk2 Golf (that I am driving now), Escort is not so comfortable, tough and reliable, but anyway...
Love to Escort's started in childhood, as it was our first families car. This car is symbol of my childhood, the endless sunny summer trips with great 80's music on board. But childhood someday ends, so our Escort gone too. Now I am searching for similar one, to make my cream come true and just for a moment feel childhood happiness.
Somewhere since 2010. I started to look for my own Escort, but soon I realized, that they have completely vanished in our country.
First car to look, was 1985 1.3 "Laser" estate in green metallic. On photos it looked good, but when we saw it with own eyes, very soon we ran away.
It was completely rusted underneath, so badly, that it could break apart any moment. (sorry, no photos) 
Next was 1985 1.3 "Laser" in my own city with interesting tuning kit and some XR3 parts. Unfortunately I was too late to buy this car, when it was on sale in 2012. And some months later it was hammered by stupid teens.
Later on there were some cars on sale in our country, but lots of them was it terrible condition, so we even didn't look them.
Year ago there was one pretty nice 1982 1.3 "GL" for sale (~2000 EUR) with Historical status approval. We met in Riga, took a test drive. Yes, car was looking nice, but unfortunately it was too high price for car with hidden defects and technical flaws.

But it's not all. When I was 6 years old, I started to collect die-cast models. Now collection counts up to 350 models, and one part of them are of course mk3 Escort's.
Now for complete collection I only need 1:1 scale
